Field Day 2025 will be June 28-29. W6SD will operate out of the mini-park adjacent to the First Presbyterian Church of Granada Hills, 10400 Zelzah Ave., Northridge 91326.
We will begin setting up at 8 a.m. on Saturday, and will operate from 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, through 2 p.m. on the following day.
ARRL Field Day is an annual amateur radio exercise, in which hams operate their radios from the field, simulating emergency radio scenarios. With participants across the United States and beyond, this large-scale event focuses on emergency preparedness but also includes public outreach and education, including demonstrations of the capability of ham radio.
W6SD will welcome Scouts to this year’s event; Scouts of all ages are invited to attend and use a dedicated station to get on the air and receive sign-off on requirements toward the Radio Merit Badge.
For more information about Field Day for members of the general public, for hams, or for Scouts, please contact our club by email at info@w6sd.com.
